We are proud to announce the appointment of the members of its newly established Women’s Committee for the term 2025–2029.
This marks a historic milestone for WFDB and for women with deafblindness around the world. The creation of the Women’s Committee reflects WFDB’s firm commitment to promoting inclusion, empowerment, and equal representation. It aims to strengthen the voices of women who are deafblind, ensuring they play an active and influential role in shaping the future of our movement.
Women with deafblindness face multiple and intersecting barriers — yet their needs and perspectives continue to be underrepresented and overlooked. This committee will serve as a platform for their voices to be heard, their experiences to be recognised, and their leadership to be strengthened and celebrated.
The WFDB Women’s Committee is composed of seven remarkable members, each representing a different region of the world.
