WFDB and RIADIS Sign MoU to Advance Deafblind Rights in Latin America

WFDB and RIADIS Sign a MoU

On April 3rd, 2024, during the Global Disability Forum held in Berlin, Germany, a significant milestone was achieved for the Deafblind community in Latin America.
Juan Ángel de Gouveia, President of the Latin American Network of Non-Governmental Organizations of Persons with Disabilities and their Families (RIADIS), and Sanja Tarczay, President of the World Federation of the Deafblind (WFDB), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organizations.

The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration and improve the rights and living conditions of persons with Deafblindness across Latin America.

The signing was further supported by the presence of Enrique Varela, President of the Latin American Federation of Associations of Deafblind Persons (FLASC).

WFDB is proud to expand its support and deepen its engagement with the Latin American region through this important partnership.
