WFDB and WFD Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Cooperation

As outlined in the video above, the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) and the World Federation of the Deafblind (WFDB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in advocating for the rights of Deaf and Deafblind individuals worldwide.

This partnership aims to raise awareness, promote sign language recognition, and align advocacy efforts. Key areas of cooperation include knowledge exchange, joint communications, policy development, and research collaboration. The agreement will remain in effect for four years, reinforcing their shared commitment to inclusivity and equal rights.

The signing of this MoU marks a major milestone in the advocacy efforts for Deaf and Deafblind persons. By strengthening their collaboration, WFD and WFDB are taking a unified stand to promote inclusivity, accessibility, and equal rights on a global scale.

The MoU was signed in person by Sanja Tarczay, President of WFDB, and Joe Murray, President of WFD, in Vienna, Austria, on March 6, 2025.
