WFDB is looking for deafblind braille users for its project in Spain

Hands over braille line

The World Federation of the Deafblind (WFDB) and the Swedish company Omnitor AB are developing an international project called “EC Touch Braille”. The goal of this project is to create a real-time remote communication App (such as Zoom) that is accessible to people with deafblindness who use a braille display.

The WFDB has requested collaboration from FASOCIDE (Federation of Associations of Deafblind People of Spain) and other organisations based in Spain to find braille line users with deafblindness interested in testing the App and make suggestions for improvement.

A workshop will be organized in Madrid in the first quarter of 2024 and several webinars will be held in which you can actively participate.

If you are a person with deafblindness living in Spain and a braille user who wants to participate in this project, please send an email to projects@wfdb.eu.

The deadline to show your interest is January 8, 2024. Do not miss out on this opportunity!
