Organized every four years since 1977, the Helen Keller World Conference (HKWC) has been a global arena for persons with deafblindness to meet, share and exchange information and experiences with their peers.

Meetings at the General Assembly are open and consist of deafblind representatives from national members of WFDB.

Following the latest developments regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and an increase in the number of cases and outbreaks around the globe, the 6th WFDB General Assembly and the 12th Helen Keller World Conference is postponed from May to September 6th to 14th 2022 and will be held at Hotel Panari in Nairobi, Kenya.

Those participants who have submitted a registration form, do not need to resubmit it as these have been automatically transferred to the registration list for September. This is applicable to those participants who have submitted applications for financial support and hold plenary workshops and presentations.

We encourage those interested in attending who have not yet submitted their registration form to do so as soon as possible, at the following link: https://wfdb.eu/wfdb-world-conference-2018/

We believe a good representation and participation from as many persons with deafblindness as possible from around the world will contribute to a fruitful and meaningful event.
