WFDB’s membership structure includes various categories to ensure representation, support, and active participation from individuals and organizations around the world. Members fall under the following types:

National Members are organizations representing the deafblind population within their respective countries. Only one National Member is permitted per country, and at least 50% of each organization’s board must be composed of persons with deafblindness.
2. Associate Membership
Associate Members are individuals, organizations, or institutions that share WFDB’s mission and goals. They play an important role in supporting WFDB’s advocacy and initiatives.
3. Individual Membership
Individual Members are persons with deafblindness who do not officially represent the deafblind population of their country or a specific organisation. They may participate and speak at the General Assembly but do not have voting rights.
4. Sponsoring Membership
Sponsoring Members are individuals, organizations, or institutions that support WFDB financially. Their contributions help sustain the organization’s work and initiatives.
5. Regional Membership
